Pros

You get free lunch for commuting to the office.

Cons

So many things. I'll start with the broader stuff: There's no growth opportunity here if you're applying for a position on the operations team. You will be intentionally kept from any of the technical processes that aid software testing in order to justify keeping your salary low. You're being paid to tap as many buttons on a phone as you can in a day. That's it. The concept is not viable. Physical robots will never be more efficient than automated scripts. The CEO believes that physical interaction with the device adds value to testing but that's called hardware testing. This is supposedly a software testing company. The reason this company stays afloat is because it's cheaper for their clients to pay the monthly fee for regression testing than it is to hire another internal, skilled Test Automation Engineer. All Mobot is doing is diluting the market for actual skilled, software-testing professionals. The management is wildly inexperienced and unprofessional. The hiring manager who I worked under could be the most socially inept person I have ever worked with. This company is shady - simple as that. Don't believe me? Well all of their listings can be found under "Mobot", a sporting-goods company with a 4.4 on glassdoor, instead of here at "Team Mobot", the actually company you're applying to with a whopping 1 star.

Pros

Engineers were remote, so we enjoyed a lot of trust and self-management. My manager genuinely wanted to see me grow into a better engineer. Holiday shutdown.

Cons

There wasn't much place for growth within the company. They ran out of things for me to do. That being said, I loved my team so I decided to let them know over a month in advance when a better opportunity came around. The company let me go the very next day, very obviously so they wouldn't have to pay me for the yearly holiday shutdown. That holiday shutdown was supposedly to thank the team for their hard work throughout the year, but they didn't care to thank me, I guess. When I emailed the CEO explaining how it made me feel, she basically ignored what I wrote and gave me some corporate talk. I could've easily given them a two week notice right after the holiday shutdown, but decided not to in good faith. This is how they repaid me. I loved this company, but this experience ruined my view of Mobot.

Pros

-15$ a day for lunch -most coworkers are chill -you get to say you work at the chrysler building -the severance package offered was acceptable

Cons

-terrible pay negates the 15$ for lunch. -terrible insurance plans make that twice as insulting. -everyone is miserable all the time. -management is extremely dishonest. They will not act on reports of bullying, and will not sponsor your Visa. They will wait until it's too late to do anything about it before they tell you that second part. -Company is morally bankrupt. You will work for truly evil clients. -Company is also regular bankrupt, or always on the edge of it. Don't expect to feel secure in your employment. -absolutely no respect for work-life balance. -the work you will do is completely meaningless.
