Pros

Its a nice office I guess. The co-workers that aren't totally brainwashed by this cult are pretty okay. There aren't many positives to working here.

Cons

Oh boy, where do I begin? This is the absolute worst job I have ever worked at in my entire life. I am counting down the days until I find a job and can leave this god awful place. If you like being micro-managed and basically having a standard operating guide on how to walk and breathe you might love it here. Long hours, sometimes 6 day work weeks. Mandatory OT. Immature owners. I cant even describe how much I go home crying. Its like a cult here where you feel like there is no way out. The owners cant keep anything personal and basically put your business out there. Getting a day off is a nerve-wracking process since you probably wont get it granted. There is nobody you can trust here. To those of you reading this and the meeting you probably just had about this.. LISTEN TO ME. This is not a normal job. You are not being treated right. They try to fluff this place up and make it sound amazing but on the bottom line... its not and we all know it.

Pros

When working here my favorite part was the people I worked with. Never thought I would meet such great people at a debt collection agency. Wonderful office to work in, besides being freezing cold. Great insurance options and 401k availability.

Cons

My first month I went home crying almost every night. The management staff is extremely cold feeling and strict. There is so much pressure to reach certain numbers. My first year and a half I did great with my numbers but I was so stressed and worried of failing that it started to effect my physical health. And time off is next to impossible your first year. And I would get to work 30 minutes early and sit in the parking lot in fear of being late, because as stated in another review if you are one minute late you have to sacrifice some of your PTO. If collectors are talking they are scorned like children. I understand the importance of productivity but to eliminate socializing between co workers entirely makes for a long and dreary work day. Also the mandatory Saturday's and long days were horrible. I always thought that should be optional for those who want more hours than 40/wk. Also while I was employed here you were assigned the workload of 3 people to finish in your own in half the time. Very overwhelming. I ended my employment on great terms, loved the staff and the owner was understanding to my situation but happy to not be constantly stressed and walking on eggshells 45 hours a week.
