- networking: you can set up time to talk with folks from other groups within the company and most folks are more than happy to talk with you - opportunity to grow: there is always something to learn from someone or something - opportunity to extend internship past 6 months

Most folks come in expecting to do some serious coding but it is not what is expected (which isnt necessarily a bad thing but it is a con for those who wish to pursue a line of work in software programming). As an intern you don't exactly get to notice all the cons working at Intel especially if you are there for 6 months
