Cons
If you are considering a career, investment, or franchise with Teaspoon, please proceed with caution, the company faces several challenges from the top-down. In my opinion, the leadership team is primarily focused on nationwide expansion, often opening new locations without adequately training franchisees. This approach raises concerns about the long-term viability of their growth and seems to be driven by the hope of a buy-out from a larger company. During my tenure, I noticed a high turnover rate among both management and employees across multiple locations. Many colleagues expressed dissatisfaction and were actively seeking other opportunities, which reflected a general lack of loyalty and morale within the company. I also encountered many operational issues that seemed to be overlooked. The business model might benefit from improvements, but these did not appear to be a priority for middle or senior management (CEO and Founders), who seemed more focused on presentations, recruiting new franchisees, and introducing new seasonal products. I highly recommend doing thorough research and due diligence before making any commitments to this company.
