Pros

PTO, a few (actually) supportive managers

Cons

managers/universal bankers play obvious favoritism and they only respect other senior management. if you're a lower end banker, they will mostly shame you for things you do incorrectly, at least from my experience. there is rarely praise for what you accomplish and you are not noticed for any contributions you make on the day to day. a cog in a machine. company culture in retail branches is nonexistent, you get worked to the maximum. pile that on with shaming and it burns you out. Luckily, PTO policies are good here. Otherwise, you rely on that to avoid the "grind." company direction is confusing. most of senior management from what I have learned overtime came from Well's Fargo, SVB, or Citibank, and goals are extremely rigid with unrealistic expectations of accomplishing them. it is basically a way to push loans and other products for people who don't need them in the first place. the company is too focused on being a big bank instead of being the best credit union around the area and it drives some of the members away with the attitude and lack of resources to make the member experience worthwhile.
