The work is fine you get to choose your duties quite a bit lot of freedom and if you speak English well along with Japanese you get direct access to the executive producers and the CEO and lots of higher ups. They're evaluation criteria is very fair and there are company tests if you want to move laterally like I went from overseas sales to game development so with zero programming background you could become a game planner which is basically like level planning or designing games. There are ways to submit ideas to hire ups not that they're going to accept everything but at least they'll give you feedback.

A very long hours some of the other employees are sleeping in the office so I think you better be ready to immerse yourself in the Japanese work culture and make sure you take advantage of the company cafeteria that serves really good food.

Get to work on some of the famous games in Japan. A lot of collaboration titles with Anime, which is fun to work on. Room to improve your skills if you are willing to. Mostly nice people around you.

Very bad work life balnce. Project management is very poor which leads to long working hours. 10:00am to 9:00pm is very usual. Sometimes over weekends. Salary is below average. The bad project management also leads to no time for employees to take a rest, which gives no time to refresh yourself.
