No training - you won’t get support, or feedback on performance, you’ll have to harras your co-workers (who are very busy) in order to learn anything. Even then there’s no guarantee. No culture - The office is barren, boring and uninspiring. They will expect you to be there, but won’t say that explicitly Inconsistent accounts - your patch won’t be well defined, and things can chop and change at a whim. It’s incredibly political and due to internal competition, sometimes sales that are meant to be within your patch will be hidden from you, or your designated accounts won’t be transferred to you. Ultimately you’ll need to ensure that you keep an eye on any deals to make sure you’re not being left out. Oldschool (not in a good way) The way people work is antiquated and so are the way people think. The expectation is that you don’t have a life outside, or you’re not a team player. I understand that this is a very harsh review, but there are significant growing pains and the business is not in a good place. I can’t in good faith, recommend that anyone joins this business on the sales side. Particularly in government (if you don’t have significant experience in a very similar role.)
