Pros
I really liked working with the coworkers. Everyone was so helpful and supportive. It was not competitive environment like some recruitment agencies.
Cons
Lots of company politics because it's a family owned business. So if you're part of the family, you will have a great career. Yes, they are transparent on the commission structure, but they also change the structure all the time. It's not stable. Rules change all the time, which is understandable for an early stage-startup but this company is a LATE stage startup so I believe they should standardize the work process better. They've had about 5 years to understand how the business works. Treats recruitment like selling a car, you're dealing with people. Not inanimate objects. Very transactional relationship with the employees. You didn't bill high enough this quarter? Oh ok I'm going to make your life miserable. They like to find faults and mistakes in your work. It wasn't a great motivation tool, it made me want to quit even more. The kpis were not very achievable, especially during the pandemic. They don't have a big client database, that's why they're so caught up on "cold calling" new clients. They don't believe in using LinkedIn but using a very amateur customized database they are proud of.
