Pros
The company is located near to the New Forest and beaches....beyond that I struggle to add any further positive points to fulfil the 20 word minimum criteria.
Cons
A couple of five star ratings posted, with no effort made to provide any details to substantiate their view, stating ‘no cons that I can think of’....this is a stark contrast to the other reviews here and I naturally find it somewhat suspicious. Having worked at Anvil for ‘a little while’, I can concur with the other negative comments posted here and have no doubt that they are both genuine and a fair reflection. You will be hard pushed to speak with an ex employee who does not share very similar views. The ‘senior leadership’ are extremely arrogant and happy to nurture a web of deceit, impacting upon both employees and clients. This is not lost on the workforce and therefore a well-placed mis-trust of the ‘senior leadership’ is maintained. There exists a distinct lack of respect for the workforce, which really is a shame since it largely consists of hardworking, professional and passionate people. At least it did when I worked there, however many of these people have either left or are in the process of leaving. A continued lack of communication throughout the organisation, poor staff engagement, development and training and repeated poor decisions from autocratic business owners has fuelled a blame culture and cultivated low morale. It is a fact that Anvil has a very high attrition rate, for good reason. Don’t take my word for it...a Linked In search of employees past and present will provide an unbiased reflection on this statement. With a complete lack of empathy and positive, skilled leadership and no apparent signs of any feedback resonating and leading to change, this trend can sadly only continue.
