Cons

The work culture at Baltimore Banner presents several challenges. While the company emphasizes its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), many employees feel that these values are not consistently upheld. Individuals who do not fit into the prevailing social dynamics may experience marginalization, contributing to a toxic atmosphere. The newsroom operates in a siloed manner, limiting collaboration and support for initiatives that may not align with the interests of the team. This can lead to feelings of frustration and isolation for those seeking a more cooperative work environment. Additionally, while there is a strong focus on collaboration, some employees have noted a lack of compassion among colleagues, which can further exacerbate feelings of disconnection. Overall, my experience at Baltimore Banner has not met my expectations. I initially considered giving this review three stars, but in light of my experience, I believe a one-star rating is more reflective of the challenges faced during my time here.
