Pros
PTO is definitely a pro
Cons
Where to begin.... the company boasts about their mobility within the company and how great of a company they are to work for but this isn’t reflected in the actual work environment. Managers come and go, but some will not treat you with respect simply because “they’re in a bad mood”, that’s no excuse and makes the work environment very hard to work in. Opportunities for mobility are available but are offered based on relationships to management that don’t necessarily reflect work ethic. Schedules are merely suggestions (you will likely work wayyy more than you’re scheduled) and some management can disregard your life outside of work (although some will work with you). The amount of shifts i’ve worked that were over 6 hours without breaks are ridiculous, and no management will not accommodate for you - they often leave you and your coworkers to fend for yourselves. Expect zero opportunities for breaks if you’re busy - as often nobody is able to cover you (if one section of the restaurant is busy it’s likely that everyone is). Wish that things were better managed as it can be a fun work environment and a lot of the staff gets along well. Generally speaking - the values they stand for are not reflected in the workplace. My experience is not merely of a disgruntled employee, as there’s a constant cycling of employees every few months that acknowledge these conditions are not worth staying for.
