Pros

Have worked with some really great people and made some strong relationships over a long tenure.

Cons

Inability to adapt to an evolving workforce and marketplace. Lots of good people but senior management (like many other places) drinks their own cool aid. The latest nail in the coffin is their "future of work" initiative in which almost all employees will be forced into the office at least 50% of their working time. After years of profitability during Covid they site very ambiguous reasons to shift people back to an office with a very broad net ignoring all prior agreements with remote new hires and those that had been remote for years prior to Covid. It's a clear move to try to get people to quit and release OpEx pressure. Make no mistake, the workforce is full of good people and they have adapted to the new world. Unfortunately, leadership here has decided to turn back the clock and their back on their employees.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
