I came here because of the high accountability and elite standards that they sold to me during the interview process. The chance to find my forever career and impact my family and the lives of others for years to come. I had the grit they need and want in an employee and rolled up my sleeves. Title did not matter to me. My team mattered. After training, the illusion was shattered. 60 hour plus work week is normal so when you use PTO, you really want to enjoy it. However, no one respects the boundaries of your vacation time. Getting calls from the central support office when you are off or on PTO should not happen. Please do better. Maintenance techs are worked like dogs and not paid enough for their contributions. The entire business would collapse without their dedication. Training seems great until you are on property and faced with something you didn’t learn in training and you can’t get ahold of your regional manager or trainer. Your residents suffer because you were not fully equipped with the tools needed to succeed. You were told to just figure it out. Everyone is stressed all the time, especially when the CEO visits. You don’t have to be there long to hear the horror stories. The values and company “Cult”ure sounds good at first, but it is not reflected in the way people are actually treated. Do the right thing so long as it makes them more money. People Count as long as you are a cash cow. Live the circle of success even if you have to throw your team under the bus. Think long term not short term for investors. Relentless pursuit of excellence means the you can’t even come up for air because the problems relentlessly beat you down until you have nothing left to give. Team members have received awards one day and fired shortly after. How does that speak to people count? How does that effect new hires coming in believing that rewards and recognition matters? Your employees should not be terrified of losing their jobs to the point where they make bad decisions. Thankfully I got out because my integrity will not be compromised for money and recognition.
