Pros

-Good opportunity to travel the world with discount tickets. -Multicultular crew community -Allowance on layovers paid in cash

Cons

-Very stressful working environment, its all about the customers and the reputation of the brant. If a 'gold card' holder pax shouts at you in your face and insults you, its all your fault no matter what according to the company's mind. -Minimum rest between duties (11 hours) and on long haul flights (2 hours 20 minutes break on a 15 hours flight while airlines which allow unions have 4-5 hours break. You are always exhausted on layovers. -24 hours layover after a 14hour flight is a common thing. -Backstabbing and reporting each other for literally anything is highly encouraged by the company as they can have everyone scared about losing their job if they dont follow the rules. -Most of the senior crew members have no leadership skills. They choose who gets upgraded to senior positions according to who has less sick days. -You can't really connect to your fellow crew on a flight or a 9-day trip as everyone is always cautious of what to say or do in front of the others from fear of getting reported. - Forgetting a pen with the company's logo on in your uniform's pocket after a flight can get you fired as you are being scanned upon arrival. Lately, as they have cut down several routes due to light loads they are overstaffed so they force people to take unpaid leave while they started firing people for minor things. -You live in a "free" flat. But you are always monitored by a security, they see who comes in/out, you can't have anyone who is no staff to stay after 1 am. If they are not gone by 1am you are officially called in the office and warned. You need to fill in forms 10 days in advance and get approval to host family. Person I know was involved in an accident, went in hospital and his parents flew over to be with him. They were not allowed in his flat as he hadn't filled the form 10 days in advance, no excuses ever made. If become sick of this and choose to live out of company accommodation, the only place you can afford with the allowance they give you is a tiny studio in the middle of the desert. -You are being treated like you are retarted. You might work non stop on a 7 hours full flight with 2 services, make everyone happy, take photos of the kids, clean toilets (of course you are supposed to do these things) but, all thats left from this is that you senior observed you walking through the cabin without a tray in your hand (which is a requirement by the manual) so he writes a report to your manager and you have to explain yourself. If you speak back and defend yourself, they will add on your review that you did not accept the feedback they gave you, so you are in deeper trouble. - If you respect yourselves and if you value, dignity, human rights, real and honest people, nature, stress free working environment, professionalism and ability to evolve yourself more than a rotten artificial lifestyle then stay away.

Pros

Salary, 401k, colleagues, flight benefits.

Cons

Middle East uncertainty has caused major instability. Poor leadership thinks rats and mold are a normal way of life in NYC. Micromanaging and toxic environment.
