Pros
This was a great family run/public business. They cared about their employees and offered a good work-life balance. They had a great growth rate with several licensing deals. The location was convenient for travel both from the north and south with easy access to major highways.
Cons
After the level of growth, and being a public company put tremendous pressure on the owners and management. It simply became easier to allow the company to be sold and dismantled than to struggle with those requirements. This was unfortunate as many good peopel were let go immediately, and more have been lost to attrition and consolidation over the years. Currently, only a handful of the 100+ persons remain as part of a larger conglomeration.
