Pros

No meaningful advantages stood out during my experience.

Cons

My experience at the London office of Future Factory was disappointing overall. One of the biggest challenges was the appointment of inexperienced individuals into management positions without sufficient leadership training. This created inconsistency, perceived bias, and a lack of structured guidance for junior team members. Effective leadership requires accountability, fairness, and mentorship — all of which felt inconsistent during my time there. The workplace culture also felt pressured at times. Weekly pub outings and social activities seemed strongly encouraged, which may suit some employees but can feel uncomfortable or exclusionary for those who prefer clearer work-life boundaries. In my view, senior leadership - including Managing Director Sam Wheatman - did not consistently demonstrate the level of professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication expected in a healthy workplace. There were instances where leadership visibility and support during important moments were lacking, and communication with junior employees could have been more constructive. While the company promotes perks such as free food and social activities, these benefits do not compensate for concerns around compensation structure, leadership development, and a transparent, inclusive culture.
