Awesome Work Environment - Legal Assistant The GLB Attorneys Employee Review

Gilbert Levy Bennett (GLB) is a law firm at which you would be lucky to work. GLB split off from another firm, and the GLB partners made a conscious and concerted effort to set up and run a firm that was the positive, supportive, and fun antithesis to the firm we came from. I cannot say enough in thanks and appreciation to GLB. The partners are good people, who listen to, and care about, the concerns of the attorneys and staff who work there. The lawyers, legal assistants, paralegals and support staff are also the best. Good people, and very good colleagues to work with. I greatly appreciate and thank each and every member of the firm for their support. Here are just a few specific examples of why life at GLB is such a positive experience. When the firm moved into new office space there were more employees than there were outside office spaces. The partners, of course, could have picked the first three offices and then figured out a system to assign space for everyone else. That’s how it would have been done virtually anywhere else, and certainly no one would have thought twice if that’s what was done. It was not. Instead, we put numbers in a hat, and everyone drew, and we all selected offices in the order we drew. That is how one of the named partners ended up in an interior office. I have never seen a better example of putting your money where you mouth is in implementing a “we are all in this together, working together” philosophy in running a law firm. Another one? How about the office pool table and get togethers? How about the regular check-ins to make sure everyone’s work-load is manageable? But most important, as busy as everyone is the doors are always open here to talk to anyone, including any of the partners, about any issues or questions. I simply cannot say enough positive thinks about working at GLB. I write this review in support of GLB because I am retiring from the practice of law. My decision has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings about working at GLB; instead, it is simply time for me to hang it up. If I were going to continue in the practice of law I could not be happier than to stay at GLB. I hope, if you are looking for a firm to work, that you will give serious consideration to accepting any offer you get from GLB. There are bigger firms, and there are splashier places to work. However, after a long legal career, which included working in multiple different law firms, and exposure to many, many more, I can tell you with no reservation that you will never find a better place to work.
