Pros

Nothing Positive to recommend this company as a place of employment

Cons

I was an employee for almost two years before I made the decision to remove myself from TGORV. When I first started working at The Great Outdoors RV Co it had all the appearances of a small family owned business. In actuality, it is a very toxic environment to work in; from the owners lack of involvement to the chosen management teams treatment of employees. There is no HR department to speak of and the employee assigned to those tasks lacks the knowledge base necessary for the role they were placed in. When negative reports are brought to this manager’s attention the they were downplayed and this manager defends their friends on the management team, making excuses for their unethical behavior. They will fire you without provocation, without cause and then behave dishonestly when you attempt to receive unemployment. The benefit package is nonexistent. Employees are forced to use one of the six days of “PTO” when they miss a scheduled shift, even if they ask to have the day off with no pay. These six days fall under the Colorado Healthy Family Act. In essence TGORV doesn’t offer anything for a regular employee. Insurance offerings are overpriced and underwhelming. The managers at TGORV have been placed in these positions not based on skill, but favoritism. Their collective lack of people skills and training make them very difficult to work for. The non-existent leadership offered by the absent owner and the under-involved GM make this a place of employment to turn down. I would not recommend them as an employee. There is no room for advancement nor opportunity for growth and the favoritism showered upon the management team makes for an inequitable place of employment. There are much better places hiring- Keep looking

Pros

First let me say that I was worried coming back into a rv dealership and how they might do business, having worked for one before that wasnt customer focused. Well let me tell you this is a place that stands behind the customer focus all dealerships should strive for. They work very hard to take care of their customers and a lot of the time it is regardless of cost to the bottom line. They treat the employees like people not just a number. They take time to make sure people fit into the culture of integrity, honesty and service. They have a Great benefits package . The environment of fun and hard work helps everyone feel satisfied with their work. Great employer. Would highly recommend!

Cons

Still a small company and sometimes the growth puts a strain on day to day business, however as we grow so does the knowlege and effeciency.
