Cons
In Customer Care (Atlanta SSC), opportunity for advancement is based on who senior management "likes," as oppose who is best qualified or brings most value to a position. Other departments in the SSC look down on the customer care department, but mostly because I din't feel they understand the dynamics of what customer care does...it's not your typical call center, customer care job. Hard to get time off in customer care, your approval is based in expected service levels - no matter what you need time off for (with the exception of bereavement).
