Pros

Some great coworkers, and awesome clients

Cons

- criminally low pay - physically demanding - deceptive time off practices - really outdated sales practices and procedures - impossible to fix things - incredibly slow, and disruptive tech issues - elite gaslighting from management, marketing, and operations - talk about referrals like an MLM because marketing and brand reputation is abysmal - no annual performance reviews/ raises/ acknowledgment of increases in cost of living - increasing quotas that are unjustified and unhealthy (often 100%+ YoY growth) - impossible to even qualify or speak up about negative experiences - support team is a sinking ship and often messes up - high churn in customers and coworkers - unkept promises for changes and improvements - would rather higher a consulting agency 3 years ago to diagnose failures rather than schedule a skip-level with senior leadership - managers are basically just bottlenecks and middle men and have no real authority - clearly many managers with little to no experience and little to no desire to continue growing their career - virtually impossible to network - once, maybe twice a year you’ll get a pizza party with 1 or 2 drinks paid by the company, meanwhile senior leadership and top performers are flown out to beach front vacations

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
