Pros

The remote only aspect is the only positive

Cons

This place is toxic to the core. The leadership’s idea of staff management is a revolving door of redundancies. Watch LinkedIn, every time you see a flurry of promotions, it usually means someone else has been booted. The tragedy is that the business model could be brilliant, but unless you drink the Kool-Aid, you’ll never be in the inner circle. Anyone who thinks differently is labeled: if you’re strategic you’re an over-thinker. Collaborative? You’re a time waster. And once you’re labelled it sticks forever. The senior team are more interested in empire building than ethics and behind closed doors things get repugnant. I saw false redundancies to cut people, pressuring staff into meetings when they need mental health leave, only to later brand them unstable. Lists of people that were voted on that were eventually exited as not the right fit. If you’re not already on a performance review, don’t worry, you will be soon. This is a place where you must track your day in six-minute increments and justify every tick of the clock. For PR and marketing professionals, it’s soul-destroying. There is no room for real creativity, no freedom to think, just endless billable hours and exploitation dressed up as opportunity.
