Scenic environment in Philadelphia
Cons
Some miscommunications often between departments
Therapeutic groups can feel repetitive
Pay is not the best
You have less responsibility as an evening counselor in regards to therapeutic sessions. You get a lot of experience doing crisis work and helping folks avoid crisis. I really enjoyed the role in working with the patients in a less intense role.
Cons
There is no support from higher ups. We were chronically understaffed, to a scary degree. The patient's treatment team did not communicate well with evening staff, so we were left in the dark about a lot regarding patient care.
