Pros

Working on a unique topic of architecture in the city.

Cons

Well, after you get over the fact that most of the office is incredibly unorganized because people are hired and quit to quickly that nobody knows that is going on, you then realize that the reason it is like this is because the woman who runs the museum is a mega micro-manager. It is one thing to take pride in your accomplishments, its another to completely disregard anyone else's opinion or skill set because its not your own. The owner clearly wants control of every aspect of the museum and because the job requires multiple people to work as a TEAM everything is half baked and not productive. She hires young students for cheap labor and the right to boss them around however she likes. Instead of having discussion about how to improve the museum she just yells and has a tantrum until its done to her out of date style.

Pros

Employees (both who are currently working and have worked at the museum in the past) are very nice and helpful, especially the gallery manager who is resourceful and has a great background of NYC history. The curator, Carol Willis, is also just a knowledgeable and thorough in the extensive architectural history of NYC

Cons

not enough natural daylight and too much clutter in the office space! Difficult to work in which makes the job harder no matter what you're assigned to do
