Pros

- The Team - Everyone is supportive and fun. - Management - They're very encouraging and try to help you improve as a salesman.

Cons

- Hours - You have to be there early and leave late for team meetings before and after working in the field. Weekly team outings, while fun, are mandatory. - Compensation - The pay (only commissions) is terrible unless you're making a lot of sales, which they say is achievable with hard work but in all honesty requires that plus a lot of luck. I heard the most successful salesman openly admit to lying to customers to get sales!

Hi Reviewer! Thanks for your feedback. We definitely try to be as upfront as possible during the interview process and online. In the ads, the website, and the Leadership Development Program website, we try to spell out all of the details for anyone to see. We state very clearly that we do direct sales on behalf of our clients and we meet with business owners face-to-face. Our clients are strict about the way we represent them and we definitely do not support anyone misleading customers in order to complete a sale. We are confident that by following the training that we provide, sticking to systems and conducting ourselves with integrity and professionalism, one can definitely succeed. We understand that sales are challenging. We appreciate you taking the time to review us and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

After college, I dabbled in a few different industries, but couldn't really find a place where I felt like I could both add value, and gain something for myself at the same time. I searched online to see what was out there, and was intrigued by The So Cal Group's Leadership Development Program. I was a little intimidated by the sales and marketing industry at first, but I quickly realized I could master the skills I needed, if I followed their outlined training program. I'm really glad I stuck with it because, I feel like so far I've gained a lot of other transferable skills that I can use no matter where I end up in life. After I mastered the basics of the campaign, I was more involved in the business training portion of their Leadership Program. They coach and develop employees on topics like business finance, Franklin Covey priority management, interviewing, training others, public speaking, and business development. I think it's great that I get all this business experience by showing up to work willing to learn.

Cons

The only reasons I think people wouldn't like working for the company would be if they don't want to work hard or be asked to perform, or if they don't want to put in the effort to learn basic sales and marketing. You have to have a student mentality, good work ethic, and good attitude. If you don't, this is not for you.
