Pros

this job is what you make of it, within the context of your vertical/team. i'd say that anyone who does not get placed in consulting for connections is going to have a decent time overall. the forum team probably has it best--a lot of growth opportunities, not bound to client deadlines, always learning, pitch your own ideas. people who work here overall are very outgoing and friendly. if you make an effort, have a slight interest in the stuff you work on, and have good people skills, you'll do well at third bridge and probably have a pretty good time.

Cons

severely underpaid, healthcare plan sucks for anyone who has needs above an annual checkup, there can be unnecessary drama sometimes, the legal team generally is incompetent, being managed by young people hired from within can have some serious shortcomings (additionally this means that any sort of "mentoring" is very limited), people can be hit or miss--again depends largely on your team. many of the negative reviews on here are not fair, especially given the expectation that this is a job in finance and many of your coworkers are white millennials from fairly privileged backgrounds. all in all not a bad place to start your career.

Third Bridge Response

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are glad that you had an overall positive experience while you were here at Third Bridge. Like any company, Third Bridge is only as good as its people. Thankfully, our people do take what we do very seriously. That, largely, is also what inspires us to continue to do everything possible to build the company and continue to provide opportunity for the folks who truly care about what we do! We’d love to be able to delve into some of the cons that you talk about, but can’t really do so without more information. What we can say is that since you left the company, a few things have happened. We have recently reviewed the compensation structure for 2018 and we are always reviewing our healthcare benefits, and we are open for suggestions. We see a lot of people moving around within the organisation within a function but we do recognise that there are some parts of the organisation where specialist skills make this harder. We do recognise the concern that internal promotion for those who are not experienced managers can provide challenges for their teams. This is why we are always exploring ways of improving our learning and development, and are always open for employees to come to us if they want to gain a certain skill. We’re also running some team sessions to set up the right culture and values. We try to hire experienced professionals from outside of the organisation where we can. We wholly welcome the opportunity to discuss more with you – please do make contact with us at theteam@thirdbridge.com - however you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks again for taking the time to write. -Team Third Bridge

Pros

Good entry-level opportunity with exposure to fast-paced, client-facing work. The company hires driven, sociable individuals and can be a strong starting point for building communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-performance environment.

Cons

High turnover and inconsistent management quality significantly impact the employee experience. Success is heavily dependent on your team lead and manager, with limited recourse if you’re placed under ineffective leadership. In my experience, poor communication, lack of emotional intelligence, and unclear expectations from management made it difficult to succeed and negatively affected day-to-day productivity. Internal processes around performance management and PTO lacked transparency. I was placed on a PIP and terminated shortly after (within a week) in a way that felt abrupt and not aligned with prior communication, which was initially framed as a discussion around pending PTO. There were also delays in PTO approvals, and I experienced issues with compensation adjustments following a promotion that required follow-up to resolve.
