Pros

• Fantastic team culture – they have a knack for hiring people that get along professionally and personally; I made many lifelong friends working there • Two company conferences/trips every year (when there's no pandemic): one in the summer (abroad) and one in the winter (domestic/UK). These contribute greatly to people from all departments spending time together and getting to know each other beyond the office setting. • A varied roster of clients providing ample opportunity to work on diverse projects with wildly different dynamics and requirements.

Cons

• Not the most competitive salary. • During most of my time, the roadmap for payrises and promotions was ambiguous at best. However, I do know that this is something they are working hard to improve. • It was not uncommon to be put on projects where the client has been promised the moon and stars to be delivered to them within a very short timeframe. While overhours are never expected and definitely not the norm at This Place, projects like this often meant that working late/weekends might be necessary to avoid having to compromise the final delivery.

Pros

My coworkers were wonderful. They worked hard, cared about quality, and always put in the extra effort to ensure the best work possible.

Cons

The Seattle office has since shutdown, due to poor leadership and bad foresight. There was a lot of questionable decision-making throughout my tenure and leadership made a habit of hiding facts and offering misleading information. They put unqualified people in high-level roles because of their relationships with other members of leadership. They micromanaged everyone on the team. And after the hiring of a CEOs wife, it led to a very uncomfortable atmosphere and clear conflict of interest.
