Pros
Fulfilling work that makes a difference. Service recipients are the best! Direct support and management personnel, for the most part, try their best.
Cons
Top-heavy administration communicates in a silo without regard or concern for the service recipients or the onsite staff and management. Directors have no voice in key decisions, policy changes, etc., and generally find out changes at the same time as the teams they support -as the policy is introduced. Their top-heavy administation and corporate allocations absorb the revenue leaving inadequate wages for direct support and management personnel, which creates great turnover and compounds the staffing crisis. NO support for directors or managers from anyone above the director level. NO appreciation for their staff. Could not even be bothered to send a Holiday card or any recogniton for DSP Week, etc. They have veered greatly off-track and are no longer a person-centered company, nor a preferred employer. Not competitive with wages or benefits, and have offered no contribution to profit-sharing retirement in several years. Their reputation has deteriorated.
