Pros
Between 2020 and 2025, it was my good fortune to launch a recruiting career at Three Pillars Recruiting and be mentored by our CEO and Founder, Avi Mally. It has been an extraordinary learning opportunity, that has provided me the experience of working in a boutique recruitment enterprise that pays close attention to the placement needs of clients and candidates. It’s a great place to begin a recruitment career and because of Avi’s management model there is an opportunity to really learn and understand how a growing small business can function effectively and profitably. Three Pillars fulfills its mission: matching high-quality candidates with meeting the needs of demanding clients. Recruiters are trained to work with candidates with discretion and sensitivity. With determination, Three Pillars consistently provides candidates and clients with the opportunity to make important career and operational transitions. Three Pillars is where I learned how to spread my wings as a recruiter. There is a collaborative team spirit and sense of camaraderie, which I think is unique for a fully-remote company. It also is a place where you can build transferable skills that are relevant for roles in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
Cons
In general, Recruitment is not for the faint of heart. Like anybody in this industry will tell you, it’s all about consistently closing deals. If you have the drive, grit and are game for making cold calls, then you can absolutely thrive in this job and industry. If you’re not that type of person, recruiting shouldn’t be your field.
