Pros

Overall fun work environment Great place for interns and recent college grads to learn the ropes Great center city office location Traditional PR and TV ad production are strong. Everything else needs more work and talent. Part of global IPG Network Strong local industry name

Cons

Top heavy (execs and upper management) - and bottom heavy (college grads) - and not enough substance in between. This becomes evident throughout projects and in client deliverables - stale on the creative side. Mid management, experienced professionals that could do great work and train newcomers often left or were let go, some of which coincidentally would happen around the time of their personal life changes/responsibilities. Too many interns and college grads created an often unprofessional, cliquey, immature, loud and disrespectful environment. Leadership needs more/better management training and should continue education outside of the office. Politics. The worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve witnessed people cry, backstab, lie, bully, and manipulate. Even though the right people were aware of a few bad apples that made it a terrible work environment for many that had to work with them, nothing was done for years because of office politics. Digital was a big culprit, while also lacking in capability. Agency lacks true interdepartmental cohesiveness. Each dept functions in a silo, when they could really learn from each other and end up providing clients with more impactful work and analysis.

Pros

- Mostly young and outgoing staff across deparments, most people are very welcoming - Great office location in Center City - Part of IPG (Also a con) - Will be exposed to a lot of skills and experience due to everyone wearing many hats

Cons

- Poor management driving talented people from the agency. Run by PR-oriented people who do not fully understand other disciplines in the agency. CEO isn't very accessible unless it is about her favorite client. Nepotism in upper-management based on who is friends with CEO and President. - Struggling financially with having layoffs in 2023 including their CFO. Resulted in less hiring and very short-staffed teams. Did not let new hires know this, so they came in to learn why teams were so poorly staffed. - IPG has clamped down on them, resulting in Tierney trying to upsell clients much to their disinterest. - Have three anchor clients but losing one of them would cause a disaster, so agency is always on pins and needles - Lack of new business success, try to seemingly pitch everything even if they are not equipped to serve a prospective client - Burn out is high, you will work much more than 40 hours per week and there is no solve since management refuses to hire more staff
