Pay hasn't caught up with recent cost of living changes McDonalds currently pays more than many County Government Jobs Nearby Housing Situation Challenging partly due to wages. Housing prices have gone up by 50% in the last year, and wages have only gone up by about 5%.

Pros

Management is approachable and willing to hear your ideas. Everyone has made me feel welcomed from the first day I walked in.

Cons

The long probation period, it's a full year. It's a fast pace learning environment, must be a fast learner and flexible with schedules.

Pros

I'll let you know if I can ever think of one.

Cons

Not a healthy place for anyone who aspires to grow or evolve professionally. Commissioners regularly ignore negotiating salary with the Union Reps, years go by without the appropriate salary increases. They do not provide safe or secure working conditions. When I was there they didn't even have an active shooter protocol in the building with courtrooms. Supervisors are allowed to have things in their office like weight benches. I had to have conversations with one supervisor while he was laying down bench pressing, because he could not focus long enough from his personal weigh-lifting to sit up and get at his desk and have a professional exchange. The air smells like cow manure 24-7. Tillamook is home to Tillamook Cheese and well there is a side effect to that, it's called methane and you gotta breathe it all of the time you are there.
