Pros

The Residents are a pleasure

Cons

Additional compensation (tips) - were consistently late and management slow to correct issues of pay. Food cooked in the kitchen is mediocre and no chance of improvement under the executive chef there today. Food that is served for employee meals is re-used buffet food from the day before. subpar Constantly short staffed in all departments. Continuous turnover of staff throughout the year. Senior Management has no clue whats going on within the building. Senior Management and HR do nothing to deal with interdepartmental issues. Executive chef berates employees in front of staff and fires them for false accusations. Kitchen team including the executive chef steal food from the company. Executive chef dates employees with senior management being informed of such activities. Food and Beverage manager is inexperienced, clueless and a drama queen causing issues in the department consistently. Food and Beverage manager consistently puts schedules out a day before you would be scheduled. Dont expect notice! This is just a glimpse into the communication you should expect from the F&B department and from Timber Ridge as a whole.

Pros

experience, variety, this was an okay place...

Cons

Okay place to work as a CNA overall, and I definitely gained a lot of experience working between SNF, Assisted Living, and Memory Care settings. The experience helped me grow and become more adaptable in different patient care environments. However, one of the biggest issues was the work culture among some CNAs. There was a lot of seniority superiority, gossiping, and situations where certain staff would try to take advantage of newer or more dependable CNAs. At times, assignments were half-done because people didn’t want certain patient sets, which created an unfair workload for others. When staffing was short in SNF, the environment became extremely chaotic and stressful for both staff and residents. Another difficult issue was during snow season in Issaquah. Weather conditions made transportation unsafe and difficult, but staff were still expected to find their own way to work without much support or understanding. Management needed to do a better job with staffing coverage and contingency planning during those situations. parking sucked if you work later in the day
