Pros

I had a great experience working at TimberBlinds as outside sales rep. They offered and extremely competitive compensation package in addition to offering a high quality product that is competitively priced in the market place. Their biggest strength is that they have created a company culture that directly resembles that of a team/family atmosphere, in which key decision makers are extremely approachable and flexible in problem solving. They are very attentive to challenges, market trends, product innovations that their sales rep see in the field. I would highley recommend this position to someone seeking an outside sales role that wants a platform to showcase their skillset in a growing industry.

Cons

I did not have any legitimate cons during my tenure.

Pros

Great work culture and coworkers- always having fun snack days and holiday events. Super friendly, caring, & hilarious people work here!

Cons

They really only take care of and reward their outside sales reps. They receive a paid-for company car, gas card, commission/bonuses, travel, etc. while everyone doing the real work for them is stuck on hourly pay and no incentives for how hard they work. All of the reps went to high school together (with the owner’s son) or have a connection to the owner in some other way. I guess maybe it’s the same way at a lot of other companies, but it seems off to me to reward ONLY these specific people with great positions and pay. If you’re not a rep or someone who knew the owner prior to working at this company, you’re barely making any money here. No room for advancement, unless you’re a rep. Definitely biased towards being a male here as well - women are paid less at this company. (I learned this from several men and women working here - this is not just a made-up or resentful statement from my own experience.)
