Pros
I've been at Tipalti for quite some time now and I've learned so much from my leadership. I took the job because of the veteran sales leadership, and I don't regret it. Our CRO Steve is an amazing leader. Steve is a tested sales veteran and he's full of wisdom and insights. He's taught me great salesmanship skills, and constantly pushes me to be better. I credit much of my success and development to Steve. His motivational speeches fire us up! Steve is the heart of our successful sales organization. Our VP's are also great leaders and very skilled closers that are involved in our everyday development. There's been many deals in which leadership steps up and assists in sales cycles.
Cons
I'd say that this is a startup that will require you to put your head down and get the job done, so I wouldn't expect handouts. You'll have to make dials, generate pipeline, and work complex sales so it's not an easy job but very doable. We get the resources to succeed, but it does require a certain level of hustle. Also, not close to public transportation.
