Managers do not have the time or ability to manage employees. There is talk about the importance of mental health, work-life balance and diversity, but there is little action to change practices to support the talk. Even when programs are put into place, leaders are not held accountable. So employees suffer from being overworked. The politics and favoritism only allow the promotions of the favorite employees who happen to be friends of leadership or those similar to the looks and personalities of leadership.
