Pros
NONE. RUN FAR AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN
Cons
I left Tom James after working there for 2+ years and now going to do my Tax return I noticed that the total amount on my W2 minus the taxes listed, equals the amount of money I should have received for the year....although the amount TJ put into my bank account for the year is $4,887 LESS than what I should have received. Wondering where my money went I emailed Payroll and received an email back from HR stating "I am sorry, but Tom James does not provide pay records without a court order. We provide the pay stubs to employees each pay period and it is the employee's responsibility to retain the stubs for their record." A COURT ORDER?? I understand this may be within their right....but WHY? They are so sketchy in every aspect. If there's nothing to hide, then WHY would they do this? They pray on young straight out of college adults that are naïve and don't ask the right questions before agreeing to work there. YOU ALSO CAN NOT ROLL OVER YOUR 401K UNTIL 12 MONTHS AFTER YOU'VE LEFT THE COMPANY. They also have my last day recorded as 2 weeks after I quit? The woman at Charles Schwab said she's NEVER SEEN ANY COMPANY WITH THAT REQUIREMENT. When I told her Tom James was always shady with how they paid us, I never understood it...she said "That makes sense...so you're probably not surprised about the 12 month waiting period?"
