Pros
A lot of respect for what Tory represented when I started working at her company, for how she created a unique brand and ran her business, and her intelligence and philanthropy. Women LOVE the brand, and Tory has a knack for designing shoes, bags and RTW styles that strike a chord with both younger and older consumers. Great discounts on products for employees. Good compensation, benefits, work/life balance. This was a good company to work for when "Buddy Values" really seemed to mean something. Tory threw those values out the window when she agreed to laying off a large portion of the staff at the end of 2015.
Cons
The company seems to be going in the wrong direction. Shame on Tory for allowing a man to come in and tell her how to run her company. There were brutal layoffs at the end of 2015, because revenue was flat (did not meet projections); however, they fared much better than most fashion retail brands, where revenue was down significantly. There was no good reason to lay off all those people other than sheer greed -- people making decent salaries all had targets on their backs. The layoff killed morale, and many people have left the company since, getting off the sinking ship (most feared there would be another round of layoffs). All the knowledge and talent walking out the door is not a good sign. They don't understand what they did to weaken the company, especially in IT. And some of the people they KEPT ON should have been let go a long time ago, for cause. There were many bad business decisions made in 2015 that hurt the bottom line, but MOST of the people who actually MADE those bad decisions kept their jobs.
