Pros
The only pro would be you'll be working with high-end brands and gain network/contact with other people
Cons
-Work hours: If there's 2-3 idle hours between the styling sessions, they don't cover it. When I asked about this to my manager, he sent me a website of "Where to travel in London" and told me to go sight-seeing during idle hours. -(Non) Transparency: 1)Even though they keep claiming they only work with areas Zone 1-3, there were many times I was sent off to zone 4-5 (commute:2 hours), even off to sketchy neighbourhoods. 2) My client was a reporter, my manager and the upper management kept telling me not to say a word about Toshi and not to speak to her at all. -Weather: there were many times I waited under the cold and rain because the clients made me wait outside blaming Covid, not even by the door inside. -Blame-game: There were many times the clients would order 7-10 pieces, try them on and I would even hear the flash sounds outside the door (taking a mirror picture) and won't buy anything. The staff and manager would blame me for it. Same client did the exact same thing and I asked her if she liked anything or everything was okay with the garments, she was shocked that I even spoke to her and said "the store manager knows me, I'm a regular and I'll tell them". -Health Endangerment: I was told by my manager and the staff that the client has travelled and needed to quarantine, I was only told to give the shoes to her PA and he would give to the client. After arrival, they put me in the same room with the client with close contact, I said I was uncomfortable and wanted to go to the other room, PA wouldn't let me and made me watch while she tried on the shoes, eventually she didn't buy anything. -Random quizzes: there were staff who were disguised as clients who would test my knowledge about Toshi, which brands they work with and how they operate...etc. They treat the personal shoppers terrible but still test you if you're worthy to work for them. -No empathy: A woman gave me COVID in the bus while I was on my way to one of the customers. I asked my manager to help me financially and she refused. I couldn't work for two months during Covid time (before the vaccine) and had to borrow money from my relatives to survive. After this, they gave me 3-4 jobs in a month (wouldn't even cover half of the rent). Months later, manager asked me if I was available for working, I said yes and she told me to bring in my stuff because they were letting me go without saying any reason. They treat the rich like they are on top of the world but no humanity if you're working as a stylist/personal shopper.
