Pros
The benefits at the company are some of the best you will find. Also, the local staff are great to work with and does what they need to in order to get the job done. The company will always have a strong business outlook as long Toyota is making cars. I was also fortunate enough to work directly with the manufacturing facilities, so i was exposed to Toyota Production System and lean management tools. These are very useful for professional advancement.
Cons
Expatriates from Japan are poorly prepared to take on management positions within the US. Although there are some that are very strong leaders and very respectable expats, there are some who put the company at risk due to their poor understanding of accounting principles and labor laws. Also, if you do not speak Japanese, you will not have a part in the decision making processes.
