Pros

- A lot of initiative and projects that need full attention. And it is not a good part of the company.

Cons

Key decisions and major announcements are often communicated last-minute, with changes being implemented immediately. These initiatives tend to shift frequently, creating confusion and instability. Advancement relies heavily on a matrix known as “Impact/Competence,” where only the top 15% of employees are eligible for promotion. Even if you exceed expectations in your role, you may be rated lower simply because peers on your level outperformed you. This system fosters unhealthy internal competition and erodes trust among teammates. Employees are frequently expected to work nights and weekends without financial compensation. Instead, they're offered additional PTO equivalent to the extra hours worked. Opting out of this practice can negatively impact your performance rating and compensation. Middle managers are primarily tasked with enforcing directives rather than supporting team growth. They hold considerable influence in performance reviews, including the ability to rate employees as “below expectations,” which directly affects compensation and career progression. A significant portion of the workload consists of repetitive and time-consuming operational tasks, which limits opportunities for strategic or innovative work. There is a noticeable lack of respect and recognition from the C-level team, which affects morale and workplace culture. Securing budget approval for attending conferences or external learning opportunities is extremely difficult, limiting employee growth.

Pros

1. Smart people 2. Company is growing 3. People are professional and motivated

Cons

1. Forced curve means you can work hard and be fired. 20% of the company is fired for performance every 12 months. This leads to politics, the more senior you get. Got unlucky to not work on a critical project - potentially fired. Others in the team are older and better adjusted with management - potentially fired. 2. Salary is not premium enough to justify the effort and risk. You can get a bad rating for being unlucky to be in wrong team or project. 3. No engineering leadership 4. They downlevel you during hiring and promotions take more than hard work and delivery. 5. Senior, Mid all are rated together. Very tough to get rated and promoted as a junior. Overall thankless and similar effort anywhere else would get you more scope, growth, compensation. If you don't want to work hard, then this is not the place for you. If you want to work hard, you could grow more elsewhere.

We set high standards to keep our company focused and we recognize that this level of ambition creates a demanding environment that may not suit everyone. While we maintain these expectations to drive our mission forward, we appreciate the dedication of those who contribute to our growth.
