Great company to work for...challenging, but the people are the best - Production TransPerfect Employee Review

Pros

I've been in Production NYC at TPT for over 4 years. Yes, it's a demanding place to work, but that is part of why it is special. I've worked at a couple agencies before TPT and I never experienced the kind of teamwork and cooperative environment that I see day in and day out at TransPerfect. This is particularly true of large projects...and from the top down. We had a huge job last year that required us to (literally) work around the clock for weeks. It may seem counter-intuitive, but this time period stands out as one of the experiences I've had in my career/work life. It was truly representative of the spirit of TPT Production - all hands were on deck working to meet the deadline. Even Phil (the CEO) was working 20 hour days with us...sitting in cubicles and sourcing documents with the team. The people are fun and it doesn't take long to feel like you're part of a family. Another big plus is that you learn a lot in a short period of time, and if you're willing to work hard there IS room for advancement, unlike other companies that I've worked for who claim that.

Cons

The starting salaries could be better, but I am pretty sure that I've said that about every job I've ever had. Also, working with Sales can be a bit stressful...but, again, this is probably also a universal reality.

Pros

The work isn't too tough. The people in the office are skilled and pleasant. There are decent benefits and you can work from home for 2 days.

Cons

The pay is bad. Decent for when you first start but raises are small and infrequent. Bonuses are even smaller and more infrequent. We were fully remote but slowly have been forced back into office for no good reason.
