Pros
The Hayden area is a beautiful place to live. Transtector was sold to Infinite Electronics (a private equity investment firm) in May of 2017. Transtector had a positive business culture and was a great place to work, but after the business was sold to Infinite Electronics the Infinite senior management team implemented changes to improve return on investment that resulted in jobs being eliminated or moved offshore. The Transtector legal entity was dissolved and the Hayden, ID facility now operates under Infinite Electronics.
Cons
The Infinite Electronics executive team is overwhelmed, attempting to implement major changes such as new ERP system with unrealistic timelines. They don't want to hear about the problems they create, only solutions to patch the holes. They did a poor job of due diligence when they purchased Transtector and were ill prepared to manage a manufacturing business with that level of complexity. They have struggled to understand the Transtector business model and what has made the company successful. Even the health care benefits that were promised to be better under the Infinite plan are far more expensive for the employees with less coverage.
