Pros
I've worked for a range of companies, from start-ups to very big corporate places, and Treecard is, by a looooong shot, my favorite place I've ever worked. I can really say I'm extremely happy to work here and excited to start every day. Here are just a few reasons why: * A mission that matters - climate change is the biggest problem there is and everyone on the team is aligned * Incredible coworkers - fun to hang out with AND extremely capable (the only place I've worked at where everyone is genuinely good at their job) * A culture that does not micromanage - we are trusted, and work is done async (as much as possible). There is no weird office politics, and if something is a time-waster, you're encouraged to call it out. * Remote and flexible with work hours * Great benefits, competitive salary, the best retreats you can imagine (usually team offsites are cringe... Treecard's are not)
Cons
As with all startups, especially this early stage, the team is small and you will naturally have a lot of responsibility. Everything you do will be important to the goals of the company. Goals ebb and flow though as the product changes, so you have to be flexible. All asks/goals, while ambitious, are reasonable (Treecard emphasizes having a life outside of work, and always encourages you to actually make use of the unlimited time off) and it's a very flat structure so you feel very free to speak up.
