Say, you work for 60 hours but you will be paid for at most 45 hours. Consider the rest of it a tax. Even for the 45 hours, if you do not examine your paystub diligently, your payments will be skipped. Treliant will not worry about you leaving -- you will be laid off the moment you help Trelian save the contract and keep the client.
