Service Operations is the worst department to work in. It is not family friendly or flexible, and your review is not based on performance. You can be perfect at your job, but have a couple of bad months of attendance in a row and you're out. It doesn't matter how valuable you are to your department, how much you know, or how great your contribution is. If you are more than 5 late, get sick, or have anything else unexpected come up, you're gone. This isn't true in all departments - only Service Ops!
Their policies pit you against your team members rather than building the team. The policies encourage team members to police each other (I'm not referring to holding each other accountable - that is always welcome!), but bullying is also condoned.
Communication is sorely lacking and huge decisions are often made in a vacuum with no regard to how they will affect the client, work site employees, or colleagues. They appear to care about their employees by offering great benefits (that's by design), but their impossible policies and overwhelming work loads prove otherwise.
In some locations, it's impossible to move up, and there are absolutely no training opportunities.
