Pros

Working for the Trinity Solar family as a direct sales representative has completely changed my life in all of the best ways. There is a sense of fellowship here that makes Trinity stand apart from the rest. When someone says that they have your back here, it is more that just a kind expression. It is an absolute fact, which is worth more than all else when it comes to anything door-to-door. The operations behind the scenes are smooth and seamless, and always improving. Our engineers work quickly and efficiently, and our install teams are the best in the field.

Cons

A strong sense of self-discipline is required to succeed here, because we do create our own schedule and work hours. Furthermore, we must be able to endure the daily rejection of doors slamming and defensive homeowners. It can be challanging and discouraging work, but with the help of co-workers/team mates, that adversity can forge unbreakable strength that percolates through all aspects of our lives.

Pros

There used to be more positive to working here but under the new CEO they have taken everything away from their long standing employees.

Cons

One of the biggest issues is pay. Employees who have been here for years who know the job inside and out are often making the same as (or less than) brand new hires who are just coming in with little to no experience. It’s frustrating and honestly pretty discouraging when your time, effort, and knowledge don’t seem to be valued. It also feels like the teams doing the bulk of the day-to-day work and making sure everything runs smoothly aren’t compensated fairly for the workload they carry. Raises and improvements to benefits are limited, even for those who consistently go above and beyond. At the same time, there’s a clear difference in how departments are treated. Sales teams are rewarded with trips, events, and strong financial incentives, while internal teams, who play a huge role in actually driving success for this company, don’t see the same level of recognition or pay. It creates a pretty big disconnect. What makes it harder is that the company promotes a very positive, upbeat culture, but that doesn’t always match the reality employees experience day to day. Over time, this discourages a lot of employees from wanting to remain here.
