Pros
If Tripcentral management were to follow the words "Lead by example", then every employee would show up at 11am and leave by 5pm. If you are a lazy individual who doesn't have any interest in really working, or having appropriate work hours, then this is the job for you (not really my thing). Friendship loyalty seems to be more important than keeping someone employed because of work ethic and good productivity. There are employees who have been here for close to a decade, and they most definitely would have been fired at any other company. This leaves the decent employees frustrated, unhappy, and constantly looking for other employment. Tripcentral's employee turnover rate reminds me of a Union Station revolving door.
Cons
Tripcentral is an extremely unhealthy environment to work in. They focus more on spending as little as possible, rather than creating quality success and happy employees. They are the Bi-Way of the travel industry. Their Head office doesn't have a single window, is a sweat shop in the summer, a meat locker in the winter... and despite the non-stop complaints of temperature, they don't really make much effort to find a permanent solution. Raises are non-existent... no matter how stellar your work performance is. No bonuses. Horrible health benefits. You'd be better off working at McDonald's. Resigning from Tripcentral was the smartest decision of my life!
