Pros

Fun colleagues. Steep learning curve. Play hard party harder. Cheap parking rates. Snacks

Cons

1. CEO micromanages and has a short temper. Also chooses favourites. If you’re not on his good side, you will be treated with unpleasant unfriendliness for the rest of your stay. 2. No weekends. No public holidays. You will work to the bone from 8am - 2am depending on the project, 7 days a week. Raya? Forget it. CNY? What’s that. 3. Very high turnover rate because of burnouts and no breaks for employees. 4. Management is in shambles - not able to manage workload of employee or delegate work to other team members. Hence the burnout. 5. Promise pay raise/promotion that never comes. 6. Your opinion does not matter. They are hiring warm bodies, not thinkers. The CEO wouldn’t listen to you anyway. Other directors do not make any decision. Only the CEO does. Even if they do, their opinions are overruled. 7. Cheap. They just need warm bodies with hands and legs. 8. Still calling themselves a startup when the company is already 6 years old with hundreds of employees so they can take advantage of employees and clients. 9. When you leave the company, you don’t actually take anything away from working here. You’re just a worker bee to make money for the big boss. 10. Money minded, not people minded. They say they care but at the end of the day you’re replaceable for dollars and cents.

Pros

I had a positive experience working at Troopers overall. The team is friendly, and the work environment is supportive, which made collaboration enjoyable. The 10 AM - 7 PM working hours provide a good balance, but at times, they felt a bit rigid depending on workload.

Cons

One downside was that the office sometimes had a clique-y feeling, which could make it harder to fully integrate as a new team member. That said, the leadership and colleagues were generally approachable, and the company provides good opportunities to contribute meaningfully to projects.
