Pros

The management team continues to improve on how it treats its employees. They have become more sensitive to our needs as employees and as individuals with respect to our responsibilities outside of the office. The company has restructured itself to the realization of knowing it takes us (hard working people) to also make it successful and in my mind that shows me they care.

Cons

We have Client deadlines to meet and at times it can become a little stressful because the work demands overtime in order to get it done. I do not think that within this industry it would be any better at another company as far as the downside except for I know that it does not go unnoticed by my team or management.

Thank you for providing some feedback and recognizing that the management team is actively working on improving the overall experience of working for the company. Strides have been made and we still have more to do. Client deadlines definitely impact the environment but, as you said, the hard work of the staff does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Pros

Decent salary overall even if you have to work 70 hours or more per week to achieve it. Lots of opportunities for hard workers that are naïve to the fact they will be used to benefit the company.

Cons

Management does not care if you have a life outside of work because they think TruAssets is all that matters...this being said as they have plans for their weekends while you work extra hours to keep things in order. Very little help when problems arise and even if management is aware of it it becomes your problem to deal with and resolve. Promises that are okayed by management are never honored and it makes you look like a liar to the contractors in the field. As stated previously all managers are buddies and if one has a hidden agenda against you they will set you up for failure and/or replacement.

Thank you for writing this and making us aware of some of the struggles you encountered while working for TruAssets. Work-life balance is something that can be very hard to achieve in this deadline-driven industry, especially when the company was in start-up stages, and it is in fact something that the majority of the management team struggles with as well. Sometimes it can seem as though there is always something left on your to do list that may go unfinished until the next day. This can be caused by many factors that can include not properly managing time in the office, lack of delegation at times, and or not reaching out to peers or management for assistance when dealing with an unbalanced workload. To your point, there are many opportunities for growth within the company and many of those in leadership roles have gotten there by sacrificing time when maybe they would have preferred to be at home. The management team works very closely together to achieve company goals and objectives which supersede any perceived personal friendships by far.
