Pros
- Salary is above average - Great benefits - Super smart colleagues in every team - Good work/life balance (most of time)
Cons
- Company is severely understaffed. All teams are always swamped with work; - Being understaffed means that everybody have to be putting out fires all the time, with barely any time for continuous focus work; - Every six months or so the management finds yet another silver bullet to focus the efforts onto. That means that frequently the whole focus change to a new product or feature, regardless of the previous projects having finished or not; - Questionable director board. We had a director for the data chapter who, despite many complaints all over the company, led to my burnout and medical leave. In general directors and C-suites seem more concerned about appeasing the CEO than listening to inputs from employees; - Lost my yearly bonus due to my burnout; - An odd feeling about things not being as good as leadership said. On all-hands presentations results always looked amazing, but the company had reduced its own valuation, laid out employees, changed bonus rules, etc. These two things are contradictory; - In 4 years never had a true salary raise, only yearly mandatory review negotiated with the union, which barely covered inflation
