Pros
Salary is good, the perks in general are great - good bonus, VHI, they cover everything, try to get parking for everyone who needs it which is rare in Sandyford! Great team, lovely people! Good culture when we're all in the office. The company environment is constantly changing, so there's a new challenge every day. Management are very open with the team about the strategy as it changes. A lot of room to grow as it's still a very small organisation and you get to know everyone from junior to senior. Privacy is something that's having a massive impact on data so it's an interesting topic to get into, and quite a few experts in the house to learn from such as the data scientists and privacy team. A lot of it can go over your head though!
Cons
Sometimes too focused on the delivery of a particular project instead of improving the main offerings. Can be very hectic and working culture of getting things done to get it over the line not for everyone. Some managers are not aligned and it creates confusion for those reporting to different management streams on what actually needs to get done. Sometimes it feels like the strategy flip-flops depending on the needs of the biggest customer. There are a few egos in the place with is part of working at a new company, so some people seem to focus on what's in it for them rather than for the team and disrupt the flow of work due to indecision or argument for argument's sake. The experience can very much depend on the team, some teams have a corporate feel and others have a more start-up feel. Not much done in terms of the culture during the pandemic. Some attempts have been made, but it hasn't been the same online.
